Shooting Suspect Captured

Updating a story from yesterday (Monday, December 23, 2019), authorities have captured a Louisa man wanted in connection to a shooting incident that occurred shortly before midnight Sunday. 41-year-old Ryan Young was arrested by Kentucky State Police on U.S. 23 in the Burnaugh area of Boyd County. An arrest warrant was issued after Young allegedly shot 37-year-old Bradley Meade of Bevinsville outside the residence of Meade’s girlfriend 44-year-old Jennifer Moore of Louisa. Authorities report that Young allegedly shot Meade from a vehicle, striking Meade in the upper left leg. Meade was treated and released from St. Mary’s Medical Center. Agencies assisting in the tracking and apprehension of Young include U.S. Federal Marshals, West Virginia State Police, Wayne, Cabell, Boyd and Lawrence County Sheriff Departments and multiple dispatchers. Louisa Police say Young has been lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center charged with Assault 1st Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
