Washington D.C. — During the recent click it or ticket campaign, more than 12,000 drivers were cited across six states including Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. Troopers in the three states partnered up with state police in Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania to crack down on safety violations during the Memorial Day holiday. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in Kentucky, nearly 1,600 seatbelt violations were issued and nearly 90 child seat citations were issued. In West Virginia, over 800 seatbelt violations were issued while 15 child safety seat citations were issued.
