Man Resists Arrest

Pikeville, KY — A scuffle with Police landed a Pikeville man behind bars. Pikeville Police responded Wednesday to a complaint on Garred Street. According to the arrest citation, Officers found 39-year-old Ermel J. Wolford refusing to leave a residence and creating a disturbance. When approached by Officers, Wolford made gestures with his hands indicating he wanted to shoot them. Officers said Wolford was under the influence and refused their commands. A taser was used twice to make Wolford obey and he was placed under arrest. In a search of Wolford, Officers found a small bag with crystal substance thought to be meth. Wolford was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center and charged with Public Intoxication under a controlled substance, Terroristic threatening, Possession of a controlled substance, Disorderly conduct and Resisting arrest.
