ABINGDON, Va. — A man who prosecutors describe as a major meth supplier in Wise County will spend more than 11 years in prison, and two lower level dealers connected to him have also been sentenced.

Ashley Linden Beverly Jr., 51, of Pound, was sentenced to 140 months in prison. Beverly pleaded guilty to conspiracy and two counts of possession of meth with the intent to distribute.

According to court records, Beverly distributed more than 10 lbs. of meth in Wise County and the surrounding area over a seven-month period in 2022. Prosecutors say Beverly would often trade meth for firearms, many of which were stolen, and he was known around the area as “the gun guy.”

Also sentenced were Cody Rose, 36, and Brandon Boggs, 35, who pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy charges. Prosecutors say Beverly provided meth to Boggs, who in turn provided meth to Rose, who would then distribute it. Boggs and Rose were also part of a second conspiracy involving fentanyl.

Rose pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to distribute meth and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. He was sentenced to 49 months in prison.

Boggs pleaded guilty to two counts of each charge and was sentenced to 108 months in prison.

All three men were taken into custody following their sentencing hearings.
