McDOWELL, Ky. — A Floyd County man was found dead Saturday night, hours after a Golden Alert had been issued for him.

Kentucky State Police issued the alert for Phil Colley, 65, of McDowell, Saturday afternoon. He had last been seen around noon Thursday in the Ned’s Fork area of Frasure’s Creek.

Colley’s body was found near a utility access road at Buckhorn.

Police say the cause of death remains under investigation, but they do not suspect foul play.

Colley’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
